IEC 60320 Standard Has Been Updated To 2021 Edition.

In this edition,figure 9 Pulling Test Apparatus,replaces older figure 19 of the older edition.

Pulling test apparatus,the purpose of this test is to verify that the contacts of connectors and appliance outlets have sufficient mechanical strength.

ZLT Pulling Test Apparatus,to determine the mechanical strength of the connector, accordance with IEC60320-1:2021 figure 9 and clause 23.3 &23.6.3, a lateral pull force is applled in steps of 90⁰±5⁰ as shown in IEC 60320 figure 8a),b),C),d) and e) parallel with the plane containing the axes of the current-carrying pins/contacts and parallel with the engagement face of the connector/plug connector.
